The school games have started and we have played in 3 tournaments so far. We have grown a lot as a team since August first!
We are currently 16-8 in the season, and 2-0 in conference.
I really enjoy school season as it gives me a few months to work with my closest friends!
I have played school volleyball since I was in 4th grade and so I have been playing with many of the same girls since I started.
I really enjoy DDS Volleyball. We were state runner-ups last year to Gaston Day. This season, they were one of our first games and we beat them in 3 sets!
We are determined to work hard and focus this season so we can all improve our skill and still have fun. While at App State one of our activities was to make a team poster with one word that symbolizes what we want for the season.
Our word is “Purpose” which stands for:
- Persistence
- Unity
- Relentless
- Passion
- Optimistic
- Selfless
- Excellence
We have it hung up in the locker room so everyday we never forget it!
We have succeeded in certain areas but still have some things we need to work on! I always enjoy playing for school and I love my coaches so much!
I’m so excited to continue for the next month!
